It’s about believing in our shared capacity for decency, for courage, and for growth—no matter our differences. And it's about something greater than ourselves: a world where dignity, respect, and possibility belong to everyone.
Gretchen Barton is a researcher and strategist known for deep-listening studies in politics and policy. She earned her B.S. in Communications and Planning Campaigns from Cornell University, and has extensive experience advising political campaigns. She advises on History Wars, a Johns Hopkins initiative to unite Americans around a shared future. Her writing has appeared in the Journal of College Student Development and the American Journal of Health Behavior. She co-authored “Prevalence and Profiling: Hazing Among College Students and Points of Intervention” and recently published “The Science of Winning with Stories: Using Agency, Urgency, and Community.”
