We live in a time of extreme political polarization and prevailing ideologies that emphasize group identity rather than individuality. I think that the Prohuman Foundation can help to improve the political climate by focusing on the foundational truth that every person is a unique individual united by our shared humanity. The Prohuman Foundation’s approach of promoting core values through education and community-building is a positive approach that can help to strengthen individuals, relationships, and communities.

Christina LaRose is a writer and educator. She received the University of Michigan English Department’s Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching Award and has taught writing at the University of Michigan, Purdue University Northwest, Ohio State University, and in the Ohio State Young Scholars Program. She has created K-12 and college-level curriculum with the Mercatus Center’s Program on Pluralism and Civil Exchange, the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), and the Institute for Humane Studies. Her science and technical writing has appeared in multiple publications, including Live Science, and her academic and creative writing has been published in Third Coast literary journal and others. She holds a PhD from the University of Michigan in English Literature.
